The practices in the Three Lochs Medical strategic alliance believe that having easy access to a GP and the clinical team is the key to good general practice.
When patients feel safe in the knowledge that if they need to see a GP, they will be able to see a GP at short notice, then patients know that they can self-manage when appropriate and we see patients at an earlier stage in their illness. Counter-intuitively, this reduces the number of appointments because patients get better faster. Working with our patients and having community-led services allows us to spend more time with patients that most need it.
We have policies of aiming to have a receptionist answer our telephone lines within 3 rings during our office hours. We believe in avoiding the use of automated telephone queuing systems whenever possible.
